I am a semi-retired elementary school teacher, originally from the U.S. but immigrated to Israel in 1981. I am the author of "The Big Buna Bash" a multicultural children's book about an Ethiopian girl and how the Ethiopian traditional coffee ceremony "brings people together". My book was published in 2020 by Brandylane Publishers in Virginia, U.S. I bought the rights to translate it into Hebrew and Amharic. I'm presently in the process of setting up a non-profit to distribute the books to schools and organizations that work with kids in Ethiopia. "The Big Buna Bash" won the Purple Dragonfly Book Award/ 2nd place for diversity, and I received the BeingShe Excellence Award 2023 in Dubai, U.A.E.
