I retired at the age of 67 on August 1, 2019, from the US federal government where I worked for the Social Security Administration as an attorney . I have been telling people that I do not know how I ever had time to work. Outdoor hobbies include golf, tennis, bicycling, and hiking. Indoor hobbies include bridge and chess. I am in the process of inventing an educational board game about world geography and economics. In addition, I have discovered writing, to which I seem to have devoted more time than any other activity. I enjoy politics, considering myself a US liberal democrat. Before going to law school, I taught social studies, including history, in US public schools. The novel on which I am working combines interests in history, geography, economics, and politics. While hoping I never grow old, it seems doubtful that I will ever grow up.
