Elaine Hrivnak

I teach English (ESL) both at the University of Pittsburgh and through my website: LearnESLPittsburgh.com. Writing has always been important to me. I enjoy creating new lives, then weaving strange but true aspects of our world into my creations. Since my family deals with neurodiversity and mental illness daily, I also highlight this in my work. Knowledge is the key to understanding these differences. Understanding leads us to acceptance, and will eventually bring about a kinder normality to these often whispered-about mental conditions.

Although I have placed in a several writing contests, I have no publication credits to my name... yet.

YA contemporary suspense with speculative elements. Think ‘The Big Bang Theory’s’ Amy Farrah Fowler meets Holly Black’s ‘The White Cat’ where telepathic neurodiversity is so valued, it's worth killing for.
