Boston University student studying philosophy. Writing bit my heart and when I tried to shake it off its teeth only dug in further and now it won't let go. I love brutalism, 70s movies, and eggs.

The protagonist's voice and personality are strong and captivating, making them a relatable and interesting character to follow. There are some well-written moments of tension and action which made for an enjoyable read.

The narrator's voice has good bite and sarcasm, and there were very creative descriptions, such as: 'The black hole slumped on the open road, skittering up sidewalk pebbles and warping a five-foot scoop of pavement into a dark pool.'

Good tension, too. I'm not sure about the amount of cursing for YA? It can fit if, for e.g., a story is exploring a grittier underworld may have more cursing, but the frequency would pitch this more as New Adult perhaps (the idea that the protagonist is applying for university would fit this age group, too). Something to consider, perhaps.
