Courtney Stackhouse

Writing has been my passion and escape since I was a young child.

This mystery/suspense novel Desert Nights and was self-published in 2014. It was well-reviewed by Kirkus Indie, won honorable mention in the Hollywood Book Festival and was a finalist in the Independent Author Network’s Book of the Year contest. My next planned project is a sequel to this book, currently a pilot and show bible for a television series that I will soon adapt into a novel.

I wrote a short script called Cake that was a quarter-finalist in the 2017 ScreenCraft Short Screenplay Contest.

I went to undergrad at Oberlin College in Ohio, grad school in San Francisco, with pit stops and life lessons learned everywhere in between. After long stretches in California and around DC, I now reside in Savannah, Georgia's vibrant art/film community with my partner and my dog.

I like how you dropped us right into the action of the story. It was really gripping and made me want to keep reading. The rest of the story seems promising as well!
