Screenplay Synopsis
Welcome to DuPont City, home of the worlds most infamous illegal underground street racing circuit, labeled by media and law enforcement as The Midnight Club. The Midnight Club has become the world most revered and elusive street racing circuit with the top drivers, cars, and wild races. With the advent and growth of online media, fans have been able to engage in a secret community of racers like nerve before.
Meet Nando, a young and new Street Racer who finally caught the attention of one of the top teams earning him an invitation to live out his life long dream and join the Midnight Club. Once in, Nando quickly finds out there is a lot more to the racing underworld than just burning rubber including drug trafficking, theft, and murder. Working to find the balance between his love life and his racing life, Nando accidentally finds himself the target of violence from the deadliest most disliked crew in the league, Nightshade.
With police already actively working to dismantle the racing underworld, especially after three questionable deaths of elite racers, and Nando gets pulled into an undercover assignment to bringdown the Midnight Club. Nando manipulates the plan by involving his crew making the operation more about eliminating Nightshade without damaging the club. With his heart strings pulling him between romance and race life, Nando’s self identity as a “Driver” is put to the ultimate test when he puts his life on the line for the life he wants.
