A Big Blue Boat and the Mighty Storm

In the grey morning light on a windless sea,

rocked a big blue boat­­­

with its captain as brave as can be.

Whales sang their song,

and a bell ding donged,

as the wind began to blow.

The glassy waters rippled,

and the sails filled and billowed.

Rustle and bustle! Rustle and bustle!

Waters gently rose and waters gently fell,

as a big blue boat and her captain brave,

sailed along on the rolling swell.

Swish, swish, swash! Swish, swish, swash!

THEN,

down in the south where the waters were cold,

dark sheets of grey way up high,

gently unfolded and darkened the sky,

as closer and closer and closer they breezed,

over the wide, open seas…

And down from the desert way up in the north,

billowing towers

hurtled on forth!
