Lost in transmission?

I was delighted to be chosen as a finalist in the Books section, but my euphoria was dented when I discovered that a line break between paragraphs in my submission had been left out when it was transferred. Absolutely not my fault!

I had checked the text several times to ensure that it was exactly right, so it was disconcerting to find that the omission of this particular break had the effect of scrunching the narrative, interrupting the *flow*, making it meaningless at that point.

Clearly, a formatting error, absolutely not of my making. I reported the issue to Paula, who was sympathetic, but advised against any attempt to change it as the submissions were already with the judges. Message: Check, double and triple check, and then cross your fingers. C'est la vie!
