Robin Kaczmarczyk

Producer's rep and experienced screenwriter, Robin Kaczmarczyk is judging the Page Turner Screenplay in the hope of finding talented screenwriters to place their screenplays in front of producer Omar Kaczmarczyk.

Born in 1968 in Mexico City, Robin has been working on storytelling since childhood, and over the years, his storytelling abilities have become a successful writing career.
He graduated from Hillcrest High School in Greenville, South Carolina in 1986 with honours. In 1988, he graduated from the Musician's Institute of Technology in Hollywood, California, earning a diploma in Music and Guitar. He spent two years studying psychology and theatre at Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida in 1992 and 1993.

Robin worked with his father, producer Omar Kaczmarczyk, in the motion picture business from 1987 to 1991. As a freelancer writer, Robin has worked with many Hollywood film directors and producers including Ulli Lommel, Jeno Hodi, Staffan Ahrenberg, Lawerence Mortoff, David Williams, Lynn Taylor, Jon Fries, Berta Dominguez, and many more.

Then, he moved to Florida and worked as executive assistant to Ilya Salkind, producer of the SUPERMAN movies.

He spent the next 8 years between Orlando and Paris, working for the Salkind Family on a variety of film projects. Robin joined Fries Film Group in 1999 as Director of Development. During his time in Hollywood, Robin wrote over 30 paid screenplays, he worked as a script doctor, ghostwriter, co-writer, editor and had various other writing assignments for a variety of production companies.

September 11, 2001 changed Robin’s life and life goals forever. Robin moved to Mexico to be closer to his family and spend time writing fiction and adapting books to screenplays.

He continues to work as a freelance writer, trot card reader, and attends a variety of shows and festivals all over Mexico City as a guest speaker. Robin has written and self-published over forty books, including: “Robin Kaczmarczyk Tarot”, eight novels in the “Las Aventuras de Agua, Hombre Lagarto” series, 16 graphic novels in the “Sims Pirated“ series and much more. He got an honourable mention in the Writers of the Future Short Story Contest with his comedy “Jack Nicholson in Hell”. His work is available on Amazon.

When I read a screenplay, the first thing I look for is to become emotionally engaged by it. If the author knows his craft, I will get sucked into the story from page one and not want to put the screenplay down. That's a surefire sign of a winning script.
