Tammy Pemper

Australian-born author, Tammy has spent the majority of the last two decades volunteering and working in Timor-Leste, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu. She’s been a writer, capacity developer, trainer, and program manager. She’s also worked with the UN, Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporations, Australian police, and the US Peace Corps.

Her books centre on remarkable courage against extraordinary odds. All proceeds of her debut biography 'Scorched Earth' are returned to Timor-Leste. Published by Big Sky Publishing, 2019, the book has been an award-winning finalist in four categories of the 2020 International Book Awards; long-listed in the 2019/2020 Australian Adaptable competition (book to screen); and finalist in the 2020/2021 ‘Screencraft’ international book to screen competition.
