Despite the popular premise of the undead, the initial set-up hooks us in but it's not long before the rising tension begins to dissipate as the bar-room dialogue becomes long drawn out and predictable. More needs to be done to keep the reader engaged and ensure that this familiar theme has something unique to offer.
Fun trope, well handled
How can we go wrong with the undead? Well written, and engaging. I'd give it the green light.
