Gilberto A. Rodriguez

Gilberto A. Rodríguez posee un bachillerato en Drama y Lenguas Modernas de la Universidad de Puerto Rico. Comienza a escribir en 1994 mientras trabajaba como asistente de producción en las telenovelas de la Cadena Telemundo. En 1995 estudia redacción de guiones en UCLA. En adición a Hugo, Paco, Luis y tres chicas de rosa , ha escrito los cortos Una noche en Hollywood y El hijo pródigo. Alhambra High (serie de televisión), B.C. & I., La agencia, Dos por cuatro (sitcoms), las películas para la televisión Desamores y Las dos caras de Jano ambas basadas en las novelas detectivescas de Wilfredo Mattos Cintrón y la comedia romántica La fuga. Al presente, es uno de los directores artísticos de La Comedia Puertorriqueña, una de las principales compañías teatrales de Puerto Rico fundada en 1965.

Gilberto A. Rodríguez has a B.A. in Drama and Modern Languages from the University of Puerto Rico. He started writing in 1994 while working as a production assistant at Telemundo's soap opera division. In 1995, he studied screenwriting at UCLA. Besides the feature film Huey, Louie, Dewey and Three Girls in Pink (2013), he has written the short films A Night in Hollywood and The Prodigal Son. Other works are Alhambra High (series pilot), the sitcom pilots B.C. & I. Advertising, and Two by Four and the TV movies Desamores and The Two Faces of Janus, both adaptations of a detective novel series. In 2010 La fuga, a romantic comedy about a young girl getting cold feet on the eve of her wedding, premiered on Puerto Rican TV. He currently works as one of the artistic directors of La Comedia Puertorriqueña, a theater company founded in 1965.
