Yasmin Kane judged our 2020 Awards and enjoyed the process so much and was delighted with the results that she is joining our 2021 judging panel. As Yasmin is actively seeking writers to represent, she is thrilled to be judging the Writing Award. Yasmin offered two writers literary representation in the 2020 Writing Awards. She found Mark Stibbe and his manuscript, A Book In Time, when judging the Writing Award, and she found Min Day's manuscript, Love Letters, on an Agent 121 Boot Camp.
A literary agent for 15 years, Yasmin set up her own publishing house, Three Hares Publishing in 2014. Yasmin strives to be at the cusp of change in a continuously evolving and fast-paced industry. Her agency, Kane Literary Agency, specializes in thought-provoking YA, children’s fiction and non-fiction.
Whereas Three Hares publishes Adult, YA and children’s fiction. Yasmin loves working closely with authors, being an agent and publisher in a small publishing house enables her to do this.
She curated literary events at Midsummer Muswell Festival in 2017 and regularly participates in agent one-to-ones at London Book Fair, Winchester Writers' Festival, Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), Hampshire Writers’ Society and the Historical Novel Society.
Yasmin is currently adding to her agency list and looking for non-fiction (meta physics et al.) and those all elusive stories which stay with you long after the last page has been turned…
My current wish list is non-fiction, strong memoirs with unique USPs, children’s middle grade & YA and metaphysics and I'm looking forward to seeing all your entries!
