Helena Fairfax, a freelance editor working with independent authors, is judging the Page Turner Book Award to find talented independently published writers.
She's a member of the Romantic Novelists' Association, the Society of Authors and the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading.
In Helena's own fiction, women take centre stage, and she's also the author of a non-fiction social history about women's fight for equality in the mill town of Halifax, West Yorkshire.
When not immersed in words, Helena takes long walks on the moors with her rescue dog, in the footsteps of the Brontë sisters.
Helena loves to read character-driven stories that keep her glued to the page and is excited about discovering new writers.
