Nice idea!
Great idea, Paula! Seems like the last year has got a lot of people thinking more creatively. Hopefully we'll see the fruit of that hard work in the awards this year, and something to look forward to!
Pandemic
Hi everyone,
A question: Why is it called "lock down" when we are all locked up?
Just asking...

Pandemic Writing
Oh my did the pandemic do a number on my creativity last year! I started out alright but by mid-year, my muse took a vacation and months went by without me writing anything. By November or so, I started getting back in the groove and by January published my fifth novel and started on number six. Was thrilled when I found this contest, too since I have one of my books I would love to see in a movie - Don't we all, right? These opportunities are so important and I'm thrilled to be able to participate!

Pandemic writing
I actually found the pandemic a great opportunity to tackle various writing projects. I published the third book in my series of nonfiction historical biographies of Scottish sporting heroes in July 2020. I began the research phase of the fourth book in the series, which I completed in early May 2021 and it is my entry in the Page Turner Awards 2021 Writer Award category for newly completed manuscripts. In 2016, I published my first novel, which was a sci-fi apocalyptic thriller and originally, I had no plans for further sci-fi works. I used the pandemic to write the space opera novellas which will form the sequel and prequel to my sci-fi novel, when I get around to publishing them. So, all in all, writing-wise it has been a productive pandemic for me.

Good luck, Dana, now that your muse is back from vacation. And, who knows, that Hollywood film deal may just be around the corner.
