Stephanie Gould

Stephanie is an award-winning writer & actress known for her recurring role as Carmen Campos on Netflix's Orange is the New Black. A member of SAG-AFTRA, the WGA East Indie Caucus, and AEA, she holds a B.A. in English from Saint Anselm College and a M.A. in English & Creative Writing with a concentration in screenwriting from Southern New Hampshire University. An adjunct professor in the English department at MassBay Community College, she is also a member of the International English Honor Society and National Society of Leadership and Success. Her short screenplays, Hearts in a Sling, Fading Connections, The Notice, and Oma have won awards internationally. Her feature version of Hearts in a Sling is currently making the competition rounds. A disability advocate, Stephanie was born with a mild form of cerebral palsy, and recently starred as Ani in the Boston premiere of "Cost of Living" by Martyna Majok at SpeakEasy Stage, which won the Pulitzer Prize in 2018. Her solo show, Walk With Me, premiered in NYC in 2016 and tells the story of Stephanie being born with cerebral palsy and learning to walk again at 13. It was later taken on tour to Boston Medical Center for a Grand Rounds presentation and subsequently had an additional successful run in NYC in 2017.
