Born in 1992 in northern France, Emilie Mayeur developed a love of reading at a very young age, especially in thriller and fantasy. Coming from a family with many teachers and schoolmasters, she let her godmother enter her into a writing contest when she was in middle school. She then realised that, in addition to discovering adventures in other worlds, she also enjoyed creating them.
She first pursued scientific studies and worked as a medical‑device engineer before returning to what had always mattered most to her: writing fantasy stories. Her first volume, Petroria – The Legend of the Creators, was published in France in 2022, followed by the complete trilogy in 2024.
Dreaming of bringing characters to life on screen as well as on the page, she obtained her screenwriting diploma in 2022.
Having fallen in love with English literature at a young age, she has learnt English for years and now writes in both English and French. She is currently developing two new universes: The Order of Ka and The Xetyas.
