I spent many years immersed in the fast-paced world of tech startups—jotting down notes, observations, and the occasional eyebrow-raising story that slowly brewed in my imagination. Eventually, these scribbles evolved into The Techboys, a steamy, heartfelt, and sometimes wickedly fun romance series set against the backdrop of New York City's tech scene.
The Escape is the sixth novel in the series, with eight books planned in total. Each one is crafted to help readers escape their daily lives and dive into something a little steamier—with gorgeous fictional boyfriends, questionable banter, and satisfying emotional payoffs.
I am a Scottish author based in Edinburgh with my husband (who just so happens to be a real-life techboy and the go-to advisor for all things digital in my books). Though I’m not a techy myself, I’ve hopefully got enough insider insight—and more than a few annual visits to NYC under my belt—to squeak by with bringing the innovation to life in my stories. But perhaps that also explains why the tech references in the book are suitable for people whose level of understanding is how to plug a charger into their phone.
