Ivy Guerrero

Ivy Guerrero is a multi-disciplinary artist whose journey through music, acting, and writing has shaped her into a storyteller with a deep love for the screen. Raised in Brooklyn and later on Long Island’s South Shore, Ivy grew up surrounded by creativity — with a painter mother, an inventive father, and the encouragement to explore the arts from an early age. She sang on stage for the first time at age 11, picked up her first guitar at 17, and has been writing and performing her own music ever since, playing in small New York City venues and local spaces that nurtured her voice.

Her path into acting came serendipitously. After beginning her college studies in music, Ivy transitioned into performing arts when the music program was defunded. There, she discovered a new passion: the craft of acting and the collaborative world of theater and film. What began with background roles soon led to her joining SAG-AFTRA in 2019, earning screen credits and a place within the industry she had long admired.

Equally comfortable on stage, on set, and behind the camera, Ivy has always been drawn to the larger process of storytelling. From her early experiences as a prop master in community theater to her growing fascination with directing, she has developed a deep respect for the crews and collaborators who bring stories to life. For Ivy, film has always been central — from family movie nights as a child, to her current ambitions to direct and create work that resonates with audiences.

Now a writer as well as a performer, Ivy has channeled her own coming-of-age experiences into her first adult fiction manuscript, Being 20-Something. While the book has sparked interest as an adaptation project, Ivy’s ultimate dream is to direct — to tell visual stories that capture the raw emotion, nostalgia, and beauty of growing up.
