The Minister and the Maiden is my debut novel. My ambition is to write more ‘True-Life’ novels in the future.
In the past, I enjoyed writing for magazines. I had articles published in ‘Reader’s Digest’ and ‘She’ magazine, amongst others.
I have thirty plus years’ experience of teaching. I was a primary school teacher in England until we moved to Spain in 2007. Since then, I have taught English to both adults and children here, often through stories.
Fanny was my husband’s great-grandmother. This family connection spurred me on to tell her story. The day-to-day detail is from my imagination but the court cases in which she was involved are based on the genuine newspaper reports from Victorian England in the 1880s.
