I started my career as a medical assistant in the Royal air force and have pursued a career in health and social care specialising in record from addiction. I’m a person in long term recovery, I made some lifestyle changes back in 2003 that mean I no longer drink alcohol. Since then I’ve written some very serious books (self published with sales around 20,000) and complex rehab manuals that are targeted at people with addiction issues. I'm also working with an illustrator to create a series of children's picture books. Job roles include managing care homes, training consultant and project manager. Whilst all this serious stuff has been going on I’ve been slowly (very slowly) writing a Sci Fi book that I’d really like to complete and get published. I now own a beautiful Victorian hotel on the Isle of Wight.
