Kevin Dyer.

He is Artistic Associate at Farnham Maltings, Associate Writer for Action Transport Theatre and Artistic Lead of Storm in the North Theatre. He writes, directs and works as a dramaturg. Some of his plays are published by Aurora, others are in various anthologies.

He won the Writers’ Guild Award for Best Play for Young Audiences for his play ‘The Monster Under the Bed’. (It was also shortlisted for the Brian Way and John Whiting Awards.) He was also short-listed for the same award for his play ‘Angel’. His adaptation of ‘The Rime of the Ancient Mariner’ and ‘Angel’ were shortlisted for The Brian Way Award. He was short-listed for the WG Awards and for the Canadian ‘Dora’ awards with his play ‘Minotaur’. ‘Under the Stairs’ was also shortlisted for the Doras. He has twice won the WGGB Olwen Wymark Award.

He has was recently awarded the International Inspirational Playwright Award at the Assitej World Conference in cape Town.

In the last 6 months he has been shortlisted for the Fish Short Story Prize, long listed for The Brick Lane Short Story Prize, in the finalists of the Wild Out West Awards,c ome second in The Exeter Prize and commissioned by Chester Bandstand.

So, he is a playwright newly shifting over to prose, swapping scenes for chapters. His first novel, ‘Marion’, is about a cow (and other things)… and is looking for a publisher.
