Linda Carvelli

I am a nineteen year breast cancer survivor and my paying profession is Technology Project Manager. I wrote the first draft of my memoir, Perfectly Negative, after being impacted by my employer’s downsizing effort and it turned out to be the best thing that had ever happened to me up to that point in my life.

My memoir tells a story of ten years of tragedies —- including the deaths of both my parents and only sister, my own breast cancer diagnosis, divorce, and subsequent depression —- and shares all the lessons I learned and perspectives I found to lead me to ultimate triumph.

The writing process was therapeutic and I added life coach to my resume with hopes of helping others from suffering when life served them obstacles. I run an informal cancer support group and I coach people daily to embrace life’s lemons as lessons, not failures. My paying profession continues to be Project Manager while I watch another book slowly simmering on my back burner.
