My name is Trevor Kolins and I live in British Columbia, Canada. "Decay Theory" may be my first self-published book, but it is not the first book I've written. While trudging along through my undergraduate years as a History student, I found I was not fulfilling my desire to write creatively. And in those years I found the energy and commitment to write (and rewrite, a number of times) a fantasy novel.
While fantasy still holds a special place in my heart, I realized for many years that I had an urge to give the mystery genre a crack. Being a huge Stephen King fan, his books always inspired me to come up with my own ideas that would make a good story -- to put people on edge... even scare them. And that is precisely what I aimed to do with this novella.
While "Decay Theory" is self-published and available as an e-book, it is still my wish to find representation and land an agent. I am a firm believer in hard work and time well-spent, and for that reason, I wish to be devoting my hours where I can writing my next book(s) instead of being sucked into the marketing grinder.
