Kayla wrote for her local newspaper, The Sopris Sun, for a few years upon its inception in 2009, and her poetry has been published in DU Foothills Magazine. Kayla is an avid reader with a particular passion for historical fiction, mystery/thriller, and horror.

"I am looking for stories with diverse and nuanced characters and gripping plot lines. I love storylines that tackle the heart of the human condition and all its glorious messiness".
