Stuart Debar from SRL Publishing is judging the Writing Award in the hope of finding new writers to publish.
Stuart is the founder and director of SRL Publishing, an award-winning climate positive publisher with a passion for storytelling. Recently featured as one of the UK's top ESG Pioneers, environmentalism and sustainability is something he's always been passionate about, and something that has been bred into the ethos of the company. Born and raised in Blackpool where he trained as a chef, Stuart moved himself to Hertfordshire when he was 17. He has over a decade of experience in retail management, an interest in politics and travel, a love for tea, and is always looking for the next bestselling novel.
On seeing Steven Mitchell's finalist submission, Under The Moss, in 2021, Stuart offered him a publishing deal. The Moss is published in 2022.
