In the mid 1990’s Roslyn worked for a major New York book publisher and distributor representing hundreds of authors to book wholesalers across Canada. Little did she know at the time that she would one day become a published author herself.

Roslyn Franken is now an award-winning author and internationally acclaimed speaker dedicated to educating and inspiring people with her books and author presentations. She is best known for her latest book entitled, Meant to Be, about her parents’ amazing survival and triumph over tragedy as Holocaust and atomic bomb survivors who meet, marry and make a beautiful life together against all odds. She also reveals the profound lessons learned from her parents about resiliency in the face of adversity while fighting her battle with cancer at the young age of 29.

At 39, Roslyn chose to fight back once again, only this time to win her battles with food and weight issues once and for all. How did she do it? The answers to that question formed the basis for her first book entitled, The A List, in which Roslyn shares her 9 guiding principles for healthy eating and positive living that she followed throughout her weight loss journey to a healthier body and happier life.

After receiving great book reviews, Roslyn decided to take her books from the page to the stage with presentations she delivers to diverse groups across North America and abroad. Now she is taking her book, Meant to Be, from the stage to the screen with a feature film adaptation currently in development for production.

Knowing what a lonely and challenging process writing can be, Roslyn also offers an Author Coaching program to help facilitate the writing and publishing process for aspiring authors eager and ready to get their inspirational stories out of their head, onto the page, and out to the world, once and for all.

Roslyn has been a guest on numerous television and radio shows and featured in newspapers and magazines across North America and abroad. She is also host of the How to Thrive after 35 podcast and co-author of Death Can Wait, a fundraising book for cancer research and cancer patient programs.

As a Pager Turner Awards judge, I am looking most forward to seeing how quickly the authors can grab and keep my attention both in content and writing style.
