This was my first time attending the page turner awards. I was in the shortlist for this year's phoenix award. This is my first year of writing and self publishing so when I was announced the winner of the phoenix award I was so grateful to the page turner awards for giving me the opportunity to have a platform where I can speak not only about my books but also my life.
I'm very exciting to return to the page turner awards next year to showcase more of my work and hopefully one year I will be able to talk about what winning the phoenix award has done for me which will hopefully encourage any one out there who is doubting they are capable.
Story telling is the most magical gift we can give people and some of the most enchanting tales are our own.
Thank you so much to Paula and Ken and everyone involved in creating this year's page turners awards. Congratulations to all the winners and everyone nominated. I cant wait to see my book cover with my badge of recognition it's genuinely such a special and surreal moment to have my book spoken about in such high regards and to know it is helping people the way stories used to help me.
