Alia Zeid was born and raised in the Bay Area as a member of Generation Z. Although she’s a first generation American, her parents expose her to their Spanish and Palestinian cultures so she is able to write from multiple points of view to develop worlds and protagonists in her scripts. Alia’s creative perspective is highly influenced by anime and East Asian cinema; her cultural and ethnic background are imprinted in the characters and situations that she writes about in her screenplays. She enjoys writing high-concept plots with supernatural worlds and emotional cores that focus on a protagonist the audience can empathize with. Alia won Best Adult Storyreel in Pixar’s Story Xperiential Program, participated in the UCLA Professional Program for three years, is the Women Going Places Fellowship winner from Writer’s Boot Camp, and is a two-time winner of the Emerging Content Creators Scholarship from NALIP. She currently works as an executive assistant for the Head of Studio at Skydance Interactive.
