Alison holds a BFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College, as well as an MA in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University.
Alison's fiction, poetry, and essays have appeared widely online and in print, including in Boink Magazine, Big Pulp Magazine, Meat for Tea: The Valley Review, HelloGiggles.com and xoJane.com. She also won Honorable Mention from The Freshwater Poetry Journal for her poem "P.S."
In her spare time, Alison enjoys aimlessly browsing through bookstores, expanding her vinyl collection, and wearing out her welcome in coffee shops. She's also a fan of musical theater and traveling.
A formerly nomadic individual who has lived in various parts of Florida and all over New England, Alison has now settled in Manchester, New Hampshire with her husband, stepson, and daughter. LADYBIRD ADRIFT is her first novel; she is currently working on picture books and a middle-grade fantasy novel.
