Anna is a neurodivergent single parent with Autism and Tourette's, born in Birmingham, now lives by the sea, full time writer, celebrates neurodiversity representation in film and television.

Anna is Royal Court Theatre Young Writers' alum, has been listed for The Bruntwood Prize, the BBC Writers' room and The Grass Routes Prize.

Anna was invited to be a part of the Royal Court Young Writers Programme at The Royal Court Theatre, London, and the stage play she developed there, ‘Coming of Rage’, was listed for the prestigious Bruntwood Prize. A later five act play written entirely in iambic pentameter, ‘Oh, To Be a Boy’, was announced as a finalist for the American Shakespeare Center’s competition ‘Shakespeare’s New Contemporaries’.

‘Sapphire Heights’ (Anna’s first play) won two writing awards in 2019 and received a full scale production as the winner of the ‘Prize for Women Playwrights’ in the US.

Before life as a writer, Anna was an actor; she signed with her first agent at fourteen years old, worked regularly throughout childhood and adolescence, completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Acting at the 'Drama Centre London', and went on to work consistently as an actress and as a passionate workshop facilitator for the USA/UK Shakespeare Touring Company 'Actors From The London Stage' (AFTLS), which was founded by Sir. Patrick Stewart in 1975. Anna served as a board member of the company (AFTLS) between 2012 and 2023, and has performed with them on stages in over 20 states of America.

Anna is also a guitarist and singer in a folk / pop band.
