Annique Arredondo is an outspoken Latinx screenwriter, filmmaker, and social activist who, growing up along the border of San Diego, was never Latin enough for the Latinxs, or American enough for the Americans. Her goal: to convey a fresh perspective on what it means to be bicultural, female, and “the other'' in contemporary American society, crafting characters who, with a slight twist of humor, exist on a razor’s edge of tragedy and rebirth. She has been a semi-finalist in the Cinequest Screenwriting Competition, a second rounder in the Austin Film Festival, and most recently, has advanced in the Circle of Confusion fellowship for 2023. She is currently working on a feature in a masho-up vein of Interstellar and Eternal Sunshine, about a young quantum scientist
