An emerging writer blending elevated horror tropes with psychological thrillers and mythic allegory, Aurelia Gold has won numerous awards for her short stories and screenplays. Her original short story, "The Last Mural," was awarded Honorable Mention in the Genre Short Story category of the 94th Annual Writer’s Digest Writing Competition. There were nearly 3,800 submissions in this year’s WD competition, spanning 45 countries. The screenplay version was awarded SemiFinalist in the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards Summer 2025 and landed on the Coverfly REDLIST in the Fantasy category in 2025.
A former journalist from Miami, she now channels true stories and ancestral shadows into genre tales with heart. Her Cuban father learned English watching horror films — now she writes them, spotlighting overlooked voices through suspense, folklore, and justice.
