I am eighty-two years young. Born in Batesville, Arkansas. I graduated from Lutcher Stark High School in Orange, Texas. I received my BA Degree with a Major in Voice and Minors in Speech and Drama and Secondary Education from Arkansas College (now known as Lyon College). I taught Choir, Band and Speech and Drama in High School for five years. I was a Corporate Legal Assistant for six years. I served as the Congressional Liaison and the Casualty Assistance Officer as well as Senior Claims Examiner for the Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office in Houston, Texas, from which I retired after twenty-two years of service. I am a professional Actor, Vocalist, and Composer. I am an amateur poet and writer with a desire to become a published author. My publishing background is limited to a few songs and poems. I have only begun to write fiction within the last year. I am very excited to have finished my first novel, COMPADRES, based on a trip I made with four other gentlemen to Veracruz, Mexico in 1977. And while seeking a literary agent to represent it, I have written sixteen chapters of my second novel, CHARLEY B., based on my experiences as the Congressional Liaison and Casualty Assistance Officer for the VA in Houston. I live in Woodland Park, Colorado, with my Partner, Sharon, of 25 years.
