Jessica H. Lipsey is a writer from Birmingham, Alabama. Inspired by her family's history, she writes character-driven historical fiction that explores identity, resilience, and the ways women define themselves against societal expectations. Her debut novel, The Lady of Kimbrough Court, follows a young Black girl growing up in Alabama during the 1930s and 1940s as she searches for her own answer to the question: What makes a lady? When she's not writing, Jessica enjoys reading, fashion, and spending time with her husband and their two goldendoodles.
