Chris Berryman started writing stories and poems in elementary school. Reading and writing are both immersive acts he finds integral to life. By high school, another storytelling medium had swept him away—that of theatre and film. He is still active in this world as a director, actor, and producer of theatre and media works through his company, Detroit Theatre Collective. In 2021, he published his first book, an illustrated sci-fi journey titled FLYING SAUCER VISIONS: A Travelogue.
Creative exploration took Chris across the United States, from New York to Los Angeles, and also to the Caribbean. He is currently working on several scripts for television and film.
