Chelsea Christman became an author at age twelve when her middle-grade novel, White Lightning, hit bookshelves. Since then, her published work includes fiction, poetry, and nonfiction. Chelsea graduated from Chatham University’s MFA program, where she was awarded Best Thesis in Fiction for her speculative novel Roar and served as the MFA Newsletter Fellow.

With a background in education and editing, Chelsea has taught writing and reading courses, developed literature study guides, and edited work across genres—from novels and picture books to professional and academic writing. She regularly participates in critique groups, conferences, and craft events. She believes in the power of words, optimism, and kindness to make a lasting impact.

When she’s not writing, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her family and friends, tennis, hiking, yoga, and board games. She’s known for her optimism, dance parties, and fondness for animals and Alice in Wonderland. A native Minnesotan, she loves being on the water.
