D. A. Jolivette

Dwight A. Jolivette is an aspiring screenwriter who lives in Mesa, Arizona.

He’s a retired Financial Advisor, which means he didn’t have much money to invest in the stock market but was able to convince others to invest theirs. Dwight has been writing in some form or another for as long as he can remember. His love of words began early and was fed by encyclopedias and comic books, followed by the words of the poets of the Harlem Renaissance, which led to novels and so on. For him, words were like paint to an artist. A way of freeing worlds and people populating his head.

To date, his screenplays have reached the level of Finalist in sixteen competitions, including the Austin Film Festival twice, the Academy Nicholls Fellowship, the Page International Screenwriting Awards, and the Cinestory Retreat.
