Dave King is a screenwriter and producer whose work explores the friction between legacy, identity, and reinvention.
Dave is also the Executive Producer of the feature documentary The Flight of Jackie Cochran, which chronicles the life of a renowned but forgotten WWII female aviator, currently under Emmy consideration in the Suncoast Region.
As a stand-up comedy & jazz festival producer and documentary filmmaker, King brings a deep sense of rhythm, research, and emotional resonance to every story he tells. He is particularly drawn to characters who walk the tightrope between brilliance and collapse—those who build something beautiful in the shadow of impossible odds.
King’s background includes co-writing and producing immersive live music cabarets, running an independent art house venue, and mentoring emerging creatives.
He lives between New York City and the Gulf Coast of Florida, where he also helms the nonprofit SOWAL Foundation.
