Dianne Bown-Wilson grew up in New Zealand, spent her career living in various parts of the UK and now lives in Dartmoor National Park in Devon. Primarily a short story writer, her work has won prizes or been placed in numerous international competitions and has been included in several anthologies. Her passion is for character-led tales exploring the extraordinariness of ordinary people.

She has published two collections of her successful stories: Instructions for Living and Other Stories, and Degrees of Exposure. She is currently seeking representation for three novels, all of which have been finalists in national competitions.
