Dianne was born in the Midlands, grew up in New Zealand, spent her career living in various parts of the UK and now lives in Dartmoor National Park in Devon. Primarily a short story writer, her work has won prizes or been placed in numerous international competitions and has been included in several anthologies. Her passion is for character-led tales exploring the extraordinariness of ordinary people. Early in her career she was a copywriter and later on, a freelance journalist.
She has published two collections of her successful stories: Instructions for Living and Other Stories, and Degrees of Exposure. She is currently seeking representation for three novels, all of which have been finalists in national competitions.
