Edson Knapp, M.D. is a board-certified radiologist with a fellowship in oncologic imaging and intervention, currently on staff at South Peninsula Hospital in Homer, Alaska. Born and raised in Tanzania, East Africa, Dr. Knapp brings authentic cultural insights to his debut thriller novel set in Kenya and Africa, drawing inspiration from the adventure stories that captivated him in his youth.
With over 20 years in medical practice, Dr. Knapp balances his professional career with his passion for storytelling and adventure. He has summited Kilimanjaro seven times, traveled seven continents, swam in the Dead Sea, and hiked to Everest Base Camp.
Dr. Knapp lives in Homer with his wife, Dr. Renda Knapp, an OB/GYN. They have seven adult children. Through his writing, he aims to share the vibrant stories of Africa through the lens of thrilling adventure.
