Jennifer Burkinshaw studied English and Classics at Cambridge University before teaching English and Drama in various schools in England and France.
Feeling the urge to write in her early 40s, she studied for an MA in Creative Writing for Children at MMU.
Her award-winning debut YA novel, 'Igloo', was published by Beaten Track in Nov 22, followed by her YA thriller 'Happiness Seeker' in Nov 23. She is now working on 'Gone West', a murder mystery verse novel.
When not reading or writing, Jennifer can be found at the theatre or in the sea.
