Jimmy Prosser

Jimmy Prosser is a writer/director from Los Angeles. He is a graduate of New York University's (NYU) Tisch School of the Arts, Kanbar Institute of Film and Television, where his pilot for the limited series "John & Meryl" was selected by NYU Tisch faculty as the Outstanding TV Drama Thesis. The script also was on The Black List's "Real Time Hot List," Runner Up in Script Pipeline’s First Look Project and several other contests. Jimmy is the creator of "DIMEBAG" (f/k/a Flop & Rage), an adult animated series, which won Season Two Filmmatic Screenplay Awards (TV Comedy), Finalist, TV Pilot, BlueCat Screenplay Competition; and Semifinalist, Screencraft Animation Competition, among other awards. Jimmy's other scripts, including "Charlatans" (1/2 Hour Drama) and "Noteworthy" (Drama Short), won or placed highly in multiple contests.

Jimmy also is a film, animation, and music video director. His short “FOOLS” won the Grand Jury Prize at the London Indie Short Festival, Best Indie and Best Mobile Short at the New York Movie Awards, and Best Mobile Short in multiple festivals. Likewise, his short "Reverse Taxidermy" was named Best Micro Film at the Seoul International Short Film Festival where it was screened, and was screened at the Austin Micro Film Festival. Jimmy has directed several award-winning music videos, including "Saturn" by the band Superflush, which was a winner at the IndieX Film Festival, nominee for Most Avant Garde Video at the LA Music Awards, and was selected as the opening film at the Psychedelic Film Festival.

Jimmy has worked as a Development Intern with The Weinstein Company/Dimension Films, Paramount Pictures, and DIGA Studios. He is the founder of the production company, Dimebag Productions LLC.
