Karen discovered a love of writing after spending many years travelling throughout Europe and North America as a tour guide. Tired of living out of a suitcase, she moved on to pursue a career in PR and marketing n the UK.
Italy remains a constant source of inspiration for her writing, as does her fascination with the darker side of human nature and how ordinary people react to challenging situations.
Her first two novels, Torn and Release, are both set predominantly in Sicily against a backdrop of people-trafficking. Both have received a positive response from readers.
