Klaus Brauer has been a student of navigation for more than fifty years. A former Air Force officer and aviation executive, he has stepped away from aviation and back to his roots in navigation.
Klaus hold degrees from the Stanford Creative Writing Program and MIT. He has written more than 100 published articles and holds dozens of patents in the aviation field. His novel Tūpuna Rock was published in 2024.
In addition to writing, Klaus recently completed carving an Oceanic sailing canoe out of a cedar log which he sails from San Juan Island in the Salish Sea.
Klaus lives with his wife in the Pacific Northwest, near their two adult children.
