Mandy Munro has a degree in English Literature and Psychology, lives in the northern beaches of Sydney and has travelled extensively, gathering inspiration and research for her writing.
In 2022, Mandy longlisted for the Page Turner 2022 Writing Award with The Circle of Choice, the first book in her YA fantasy series she is writing. Her short story, The Beastly Sound of Silence, a fantastical retelling of Beauty and the Beast is published in the fantasy e-zine Tales of Netherün by Quill and Read (Vol. 9 June 2023), and her short story ‘Mirror, Mirror: Curse of the Fairest’, a satirical retelling of Snow White, is to be be published in the NBWG Villain Short Story Anthology later this year.
During the week, Mandy tells stories with numbers as a senior market research consultant and in her spare time when she isn't writing, she often beta-reads novels, was a judge for the 2023 Northern Beaches Writers competition, and meets regularly with a passionate group of fantasy writers.
