David J. Mason, owner of HMG ePublishing LLC, is an on-line entrepreneur, author, speaker and business consultant. About twenty years ago, he founded HMG ePublishing an online do-it-yourself website service that allows users to build and launch a website for business and personal applications. Today, HMG ePublishing provides individuals and businesses turnkey solutions to fulfill their eCommerce and technology needs. Our major solutions include electronic book (eBook) publishing and web site design, ecommerce, web hosting, email marketing, domain registration, and electronic equipment sales.
Mr. Mason eBook conversion, publishing and distribution curiosity began in 1997 during the very early formation stages of the digital publishing industry when he converted an environmental management guide for businesses into an electronic book. The work, entitled Environmental Compliance Sources Manual for Windows, was awarded copyright Registration Number TXu001068161. This Windows based electronic book addressed the most important environmental compliance issues businesses were likely to face and conveniently provided users in digital format suggested tools, tasks and tips for handling them. In subsequence years, Mr. Mason became an advocate for digital publishing, perfected his eBook conversion expertise, and inserted eBook publishing and distribution to HMG ePublishing offerings.
Before starting HMG ePublishing, Mr. Mason served as Vice President for the Hatco Corporation. He was responsible for the Company's environmental affairs and safety programs, regulatory management, corporate imaging and strategic special assignments such as environmental issues related to potential new acquisitions. Previous to this position, he served with Velsico Chemical, ICI Americas and Hercules Corporation, in a variety of positions, including director regulatory affairs, regulatory manager, regional environmental manager and environmental manager.
Mr. Mason consistently contributes to environmental and technology enhancement initiatives at the local, state and national levels. In 2002, the USEPA administrator appointed him to the National Advisory Council for Environmental Policy and Technology Compliance Assistance Advisory Committee. In 2009, Mr. Mason served on the Montgomery Township, New Jersey Environmental Commission and chaired the Sustainable Montgomery Committee. In 2010, he initiated and co-founded the Montgomery Business Association.
He is a recognized author and speaker on environmental issues, African diaspora facts, and for his sound leadership and organizational skills. He is author of Environmental Compliance Tool Kit (Thompson Publishing Group, 1994) and the Self-Liberation of Parson Sykes (HMG ePublishing, 2022). Mr. Mason holds a Master of Science degree in chemistry from Hampton University in Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Norfolk State University.
