Michael S. Clarke lives in Burnaby, British Columbia. After a career in information management, courseware design, and business writing, he turned to speculative fiction.

His short stories have appeared in the Science Fiction Writers’ Anthology, including Nate’s Place (2021), Through Your Eyes (2024), Revisionists (2025), and Hull Born, Round the World (2026).

His debut novel, Synthetics, is forthcoming in 2026, alongside a short story collection, Mindscape: Synthetic Horizons, which also introduces elements of his next novel, Eradicator.

Clarke’s work blends hard science fiction with philosophical and metaphysical themes, exploring artificial intelligence, mind uploading, and the nature of consciousness across evolving human and post-human worlds.
