Miguel del Campo

Miguel del Campo (Writer, Director, Producer, Editor) is a filmmaker born and raised in Mexico who grew up fascinated by the Hollywood industry. Molded by the vast culture and beauty of his home country Mexico, Miguel's passion for the entertainment industry was born from his dream to share his unique cultural perspective to an international audience. This love and passion for storytelling led him to study filmmaking at the college UPAEP in Puebla, Mexico and at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, California. He has worked in multiple production companies and multiple productions including commercials, music videos, short and long films. Most recently, he started working for Lionsgate as a Coordinator for the Marketing and Home Entertainment departments. He has written, produced, edited, and directed multiple short films in both Mexico and the US since he started his studies in 2011, but he’s mostly known for writing and directing horror/drama films.

In 2018, his short film “The Bell-Ringer” was chosen to be part of the Official selection for the Latin American Competition at the 9° REC Festival, and the short film Competition at the 5º Kinorum Festival. Not only this, his most recent projects have been chosen to participate at Film Festivals and competitions. His short film "A Lovely Death" has won Best Student Short Film at the Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival and at Gen Con Film Festival and was nominated at the Love and Hope International Festival.

Finally, his feature screenplay titled "La Parca" has been chosen to participate in multiple film festivals and has placed as a Semi Finalist and Quarter Finalist in multiple Competitions. Some of these honors include an Honorable Mention at the Big Apple Film Festival Screenplay Competition, Semi Finalist at the Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival and a nomination for Best Script Feature at the Love and Hope International Film Festival.
