Michael Preston was born on an army base in Louisiana, USA@Prestonauthor, and spent a large part of his childhood moving around the country. He now lives in California. He is the author of the thriller Ticket to Paradise, which is the first book in the Ron Jackson detective series. After receiving his Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, he embarked on a career in telecommunications and real estate appraising. When not writing, Michael enjoys making piles of sawdust in his wood shop, creating tables, clocks, and anything else that catches his interest. He lives with his wife Pat, and their boxer Hope, who likes everybody except arrogant cats.
